WinTV-PVR-500 MC-Kit: The WinTV-PVR-500 MC-Kit includes the WinTV-PVR-500 MC board plus a Microsoft Media Center certified remote control transmitter, receiver and "blaster". With the WinTV-PVR-500 MC board in your PC, you can watch one TV channel with Media Center's 'MyTV' button while recording another TV channel. The Media Center remote control allows all of Media Center's functions to be controlled from the comfort of your living room couch!

  • WinTV-PVR-500 MC's dual built-in hardware MPEG encoders allows you to continue to use your computer while recording. Listen to music, watch digital pictures or play a DVD movie while recording!
  • Use Media Center's scheduler to record your TV shows to disk.

Note: the WinTV-PVR-500 MC does not come with a software DVD decoder. New Vista Media Center PCs have software DVD decoders pre-installed, but if you are building a Windows XP Media Center Edition system, please check with Microsoft for a list of MCE certified DVD decoders.
